Met-Mex Penoles S.A. de C.V. is one of the metallurgical companies within the structure of Penoles Industries. Its activities consist of the lead smelting, lead and silver refinement and zinc refinement. Met-Mex has two main divisions: 1) The lead-silver division which includes lead smelting process and where this metal concentrates, both mine own and third parties to produce lead bullion, and Lead - Silver Refinery where this "bullion" with "dore", precipitates and other content-rich materials are processed to produce gold, silver, lead and bismuth. 2) The zinc division, where concentrates are treated, both from Penoles mines and from third, in the Electrolytic Zinc Refinery to produce this metal in different forms including zinc cathodes, which are sent to "Aleazin" plant, to produce alloys.
