Compania De Minas Buenaventura S.A.A. (Peru)

Compania de Minas Buenaventura S.A.A. is one of the biggest companies in Peru for precious metals mining (gold and silver), which owns 700,000 hectares of mining rights within the country. The company is also leader of the group Peruvian Buenaventura, which is ranked among the top 10 in the world. BNV, was established in 1953 and since 1971 it has been listed on the Lima Stock Exchange; since 1996, listed also on the New York Stock Exchange. Currently, Minas Buenaventura, has seven active mining operations in Peru: Orcopampa, Uchucchacua, Antapite, Julcani, Recovered and Ishuhuinca Paracota. Compania de Minas Buenaventura, has control of the mining companies El Brocal and Cedimin. It also has equity interest in Minera Yanacocha, Cerro Verde, Buenaventura Ingenieros, Energetics Consortium Huancavelica, Zanja, and Compania Minera Coimolache.
