GSI Volgograd Company Neftezabotmontazh OOO, formerly known as the installation management "Neftezavodmontazh" SO "Khimmontazh," was established in June 1944 in Grozny to restore the war-damaged facilities of the oil refining, petrochemical, oil, gas, and other industries of the North Caucasus. In March 1956, according to the government's resolution, the installation management "Neftezavodmontazh" was relocated to the city of Stalingrad (now Volgograd). In May 1992, the Specialized Association "Khimmontazh," which included the "Volgograd installation management "Neftezavodmontazh," was transformed into a joint-stock company with the right to repurchase property, and the management "Neftezavodmontazh" was renamed to Volgograd Company "Neftezavodmontazh." From October 1, 2010, according to the decision of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, it was renamed to GSI Volgograd Company Neftezabotmontazh OOO.
