Bien Hoa Packaging Joint Stock Company, formerly known as SoVi factory, was established in 1968 in Bien Hoa, South Vietnam. It was the first corrugated packaging factory in the region, utilizing Japanese technology. In 1978, it was renamed Bien Hoa Packaging Factory and became a state-owned enterprise under the Dong Nai Department of Industry. In 1997, the company invested in new technological lines and modern equipment, increasing its capacity to 20,000 tons per year. This made it the leading manufacturer of corrugated carton packaging in Vietnam. In 2003, the factory was equitized and converted into Bien Hoa Packaging Joint Stock Company (SOVI). The company further expanded its capacity to 45,000 tons per year by investing in a carton packaging factory in 2005. SOVI also invested in Binh Duong Paper Packaging Factory in 2007, which had an area of 56,000 m2 and a capacity of 45,000 tons per year. Additionally, they upgraded their Offset printing packaging factory in Bien Hoa Industrial Park 1, increasing its capacity to 5,000 tons per year. The company has advanced production technology and a quality management system according to international standards ISO 9001:2000. They have received awards from the state, including the Labor Medal class III in 1991 and the Second Class Labor Medal in 2000. Sovi focuses on developing high-quality human resources and investing in modern equipment to achieve high productivity and outstanding quality. They have modern technology lines from Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Japan, with a total capacity of 90,000 tons per year.
