Candente was co-founded in 1997 by Joanne Freeze and Fredy Huanqui, Canadian and Peruvian exploration geologists, with extensive discovery experience. Candente completed an Initial Public Offering on the TSX-Venture Exchange in May 2000 and later graduated to the Toronto Stock Exchange in November 2004. The Company later listed on the Bolsa de Valores de Lima (Lima Stock Exchange) in February 2007.
